"It wasn't intentional, yet this piece became a subtle representation of what I'm feeling mentally with regards to my work and art practice. There are things I'm loving (the freedom to build my days how I wish and to make literally anything I want) while also longing for more stimulation (that comes from being in conversation with others and the sense of purpose and community that brings). There is beauty on both sides, and I'm not sure whether to hunker down here or venture out. The answers will come so right now, I'm enjoying the view from here." - Ashley

Holographic paper is one of Ashley’s most favorite materials. It’s visually striking and features a shimmering, iridescent surface capable of displaying a spectrum of colors. This transformative quality occurs as light interacts with the paper, causing it to shift hues when viewed from different angles. As you move around Ashley’s artwork, the colors change, captivating your interest and drawing you back to it again and again.
